Synopsis
‘Carry The Love’ is an assembly that desires to challenge students to look at life in a different perspective. To expose the normalcy of negativity and empower them to respond with love instead of apathy. It is available to schools across the nation, as part of the 2018 Carry The Love spring national tour.
The message of ‘CARRY THE LOVE’ aims to highlight the injustices of society and how we can either choose indifference or love in action.
During the assembly, we point out that negativity is choking out the hope of a generation. This mindset decreases their belief that their educational experience will serve them in a greater way. Why address the problems around us if we can’t truly make a difference? We remind students of past men and women and point out present peers who aren’t yielding to indifference but are deciding to do something about it. Believing that love can overcome any roadblock is the fuel to their determination.
We hope to show students that they can change the world around them when they ‘Carry The Love.’
This program highlights: comparison, bullying, poverty, racism, depression, suicide, family trauma, and self-worth.
